After my MSc in forensic psychology I did my CAT Practitioner and Supervisor training with the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust based in Sussex.
I came to Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) through my interest in psychology and in how people can be supported through personal change. I work with CAT as it is a very collaborative and time-limited approach which enables individuals to recognise and change the unhelpful relational patterns they have with themselves and others.
Before I became a CAT Practitioner and Supervisor I worked as a learning and development consultant specialising in leadership programmes and coaching. This organisational background has given me a great insight into work related challenges and the pressures leaders and teams face. I’m interested in how the concepts of CAT can be used to help teams explore their relational patterns so they can improve their communication and collaboration.
My qualifications include: BSc in Psychology, MSc in Forensic Psychology and PGDip in CAT. I am Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also an accredited CAT Supervisor as well as being certified in Parts 1, 2 & 3 of the EMDR Europe Accredited Training.
